Palms Inn - Gila Bend

This budget motel offered clean rooms and friendly staff who went the extra mile by assisting with parking concerns. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the 114°F heat, and the large refrigerator was a nice touch for keeping drinks cool. On the downside, the breakfast selection was limited, with mostly pre-packaged items, and the bathroom window was difficult to open and quite dirty.

It was a good location adjacent to restaurant options, trains that seemed to be at all hours, and a very good restaurant that was recommended by the motel staff...

All in all everything was great, had a really really nice stay for a night in Gila Bend. The location seemed particularly good and perfect close to restauants. Plus, it was not far from a really good Italian restaurant, the rail line and noise from the neighbours, and the desert

great access to parks and landmarks for weekend strolls

I appreciated the cute atmosphere and the clean rooms, made for a comfortable base for exploring nearby attractions like the 9/11 Memorial Park and the Gila Bend Visitor's Center, both within short walking distances. It's a manageable distance for a solo traveler to visit popular landmarks while enjoying the sights of the area.

Excellent service

In general: We wanted a hotel as far West from Phoenix as possible to make our driving day shorter. We usually bypass Gila Bend, as it doesn't look like much. However, after reading all the positive reviews, we decided to give it a chance! We were very glad we did! We drove from Flagstaff and got in late, but the owners had called us ahead of time to see what our ETA was so they could put the A/C on for us. And then when we got there, they even offered to help us unload our luggage. We stayed in the ADA accessible room, and it was very clean, nicely updated, and roomier than even some high-priced hotel chains, and there didn't need to be any doors removed or other things to make it accessible for the wheelchair. That in itself is a huge bonus, as we often have to get creative or hassle management so we can navigate around a room! The beds were luxurious, especially after driving all day. We didn't stay for breakfast, but as we approached the office in the morning, the smell of fresh brewed coffee was excellent. We plan to stop again on our way to AZ, and highly recommend giving this Inn a try. Service: Excellent-above and beyond-see above! Room: Super clean and roomy! A plus for our wheelchair!

The hotel was spotless and in an absolutely perfect location, the staff were exceptionally nice. I had a neat room with a comfortable decor. The property was wonderful little and absolutely great and the authentic restaurant was good. Was a lovely place for trip.
